Hi, I’m Amanda Benavides. I live and create out of San Antonio, Texas. I was born and raised in the historic, Crystal City, Texas. In 2010, I received my BA in Visual Arts and Sociology from Columbia University in the City of New York. I was then admitted to the MFA Design+Technology program at Parsons The New School.

Since then, I’ve maintained my own creative play studio called Diosa. My fine art work ranges across many mediums, from drawing to painting to sculpture to poetry to performance, and often explores the ideas of transcendence, play, action, sport, gender identities, space, physicality, and violence.
